I have 2 computers running XP Home and XP Pro that have "limited or no connectivity" with a wired connection.
I re-installed the OS on both, and after all the updates were complete, this happened. I replaced the network card and cables. Other computers are working on the network. On my laptop with XP Home, I re-installed the OS with SP2 a 2nd time, and it still didn't work. I installed XP with SP1, and it started working. I turned off automatic updates hoping that it will keep working. On a desktop, everything worked until today when the limited or no connectivity message appeared and I can't connect to the network or internet. I reset the router, installed a different network card, but still can't connect.1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi Lar,Theres a few changes there, so I'm not sure if was/is stillrelevant- there have been issues with XP SP2 in the past causing this. http://www.pchell.com/support/limitedconnectivity.shtmlIf not, Limited connectivity generally suggests the PCs are assigning themselves an IP address, after waiting for a response from a DHCP server (this function is usually offered by your router)Log onto your router and see if there is anything in the logs in regards to those clients, ie what DHCP leases it has active. As the Router is the central point in the network, can you try swapping it out?
